Kristen Rohde
Kristen graduated with a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy in August 2022. She has enjoyed the opportunity to work with many different clients, and build her repertoire with different skills and modalities to be able to offer clients the best care possible. In addition to deep tissue massage, Swedish (relaxation), trigger point therapy, and sports massage, she has also undertaken further training in myofascial cupping, TMJ therapy (jaw pain), functional & therapeutic breathwork, and assisted stretching. Her most recent pursuit is lymphatic drainage.
Kristen's philosophy is to make each client feel as comfortable as possible, allowing them space to unwind and switch off, so that the body is in an optimal state to heal. She doesn't believe in practitioners "fixing" things (you don't need to be fixed!), rather giving the body a gentle nudge in the right direction to heal itself. She believes strongly in the power of physical touch, and recognises the importance of safe, ethical touch for all clients.
Outside of work, Kristen is a huge bookworm (she has almost achieved the status of having a library in her home), wild about cats (she has two - Peter and Susie), enjoys looking after her body through strength training, pilates and swimming, and unwinds by playing music - guitar and drums.
